A beautiful, private estate of 320 sqm tucked away in Chianti, the heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Siena. Villa Il Palmino is halfway between Scandicci and Florence, just 15-20 minutes drive from the latter. Sleeping 8, the villa has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a pool.
The Villa is on a beautiful hill overlooking the city of Florence (10 km away) and the Florentine Valley. Nearby is the old hamlet of San Martino alla Palma. This cosy stone house, with traditional Tuscan architecture, is enchanting and inviting. It affords maximum privacy while still remaining close to town (Scandicci village 5 km) the restaurants, shops, and local wineries. And just a few kilometres down the road towards town is one of the best restaurants in Italy - Tenda Rossa.
The Villa is surrounded by a beautiful garden with typical Mediterranean plants such as roses, olive trees, rosemary and lavender. The most inviting part of the villa is the large terrace, where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful views of the valley below while sipping an espresso or nibbling on local olives and cheeses.
The owners of the property live in a restored barn just next to the villa. There is a large above-ground swimming-pool (5.3 x 2.8 m – maximum depth 1.2 m – open from 01/05 to 30/09). This is an ideal spot for visitors to Tuscany - here you can relax from the hard job of being a tourist in Florence!
The ground floor of Villa Il Palmino is laid out as follows. There is a living room with fireplace and two sofa beds, dining area, another large living room with fireplace, well-stocked kitchen (oven, freezer, dishwasher, American coffee maker, toaster), bathroom with shower. The basement floor has the wine cellar. The first floor has four double bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi tub, large TV room and parlour. The property has internet access, laundry with washing machine and ironing facilities, dishwasher, hairdryer, swimming pool and huge private garden, parking area.
