left derelict and open to the elements. Today, it has been bought back
to life as a beautiful villa, restored with strict attention to the demands
of heritage and conservation. Furnished with antiques and Tuscan handicraft
furniture, it has draped beds and luxuriant
curtains harmonise with the colours of the walls. Rich fabrics, paintings
and family treasures and heirlooms complement the opulence of your surroundings.
The floors and ceilings are set with antique handmade tiles, chestnut
beams rise overhead, and the arched ceilings and capacious fireplaces
will transport you back to the richness of mediaeval Tuscany.
All is complemented by every modern convenience; the house has satellite
TV, air conditioning and heating. The bedrooms
all have a safe and mosquito netting, and each has a private bathroom
with a wall-attached hairdryer and shower or bathtub.
There are optional luxuries too, such as a basket of groceries on your arrival;
full board with your own personal chef; extra cleaning and personal laundry
services; car and bike rental, and shuttle services to and from the airports
at Florence, Pisa, Bologna and Rome.
