COMMENTS FROM PAST RENTERS AT VILLA GASPARRI[ Home page ] May 23, 2005  June 4, 2005 Lisa, Just some quick bulletin type comments for Villa Gasparri: Location: excellent - we were able to travel to many notable places with ease. View: Very nice - amongst olive trees and views of parts of Montespertoli. Road instructions: Excellent. The House: Lovely cottage created from an old barn. Very rustic but very comfortable with all the amenities of home - two bathrooms, all of the standard kitchen appliances plus a microwave and a barbeque. Very clean and well kept inside. Lovely swimming pool. Our hosts: I cannot say enough about Franco and Anna. They were terrific. They provided a bowl of fruits, vegetables, snacks, etc. upon our arrival. They made sure everything was okay on a daily basis. They recommended and personally escorted us to two fantastic restaurants. They made reservations and gave us directions for a wine tasting at a local winery. The house had a well stocked wine rack with wines at very reasonable prices. There was plenty of olive oil and other condiments. They were absolutely the best hosts one could ever hope for. You can quote any of the above on your website for Franco and Anna's Montespertoli property but do not include my email address. The weather may have been unusal for this time of year but Georgina and Adam enjoyed the pool and sweeping the terrace everyday! Picking the cherries probably made a greater impression on them than you realise. As we drove home and saw snow on the hills it was a real surprise, almost as surprising as the high temperatures we were greated by on our retrun to the UK! We loved Tuscany, its people, the food and the wine. Money, time and health willing we will be back sometime. We wish you health and happiness and thank you for beng our friends last week. We've had a fantastic honeymoon here. Thank you very much for your hospitality. Villa Gasparri is a beautiful place to stay. We hope to be back in Tuscany in the future, maybe for our anniversary. Thank you also for your help in booking the wine tasting tour – a very enjoyable afternoon, and the plums you left for us were very tasty too. We really felt welcome in this beautiful place in Tuscany! Never saw so many outstanding landscapes, behind every turn lays a 'postcard'. The pool is the perfect place to be ... the nicest we've ever had. Great comfort and privacy. The air co. is also great on warm nights. And again, we were really impressed with the 'Spumante' we got at the 'Ferragusto' holiday. Many thanks for your hospitality! Thank you for the gift basket of food and wine on our arrival and for all the help in giveing us go at directions to some amazing sights in Italy. All the very best to you and your family, and we hope to return again for another visit. Dear Maria and Franco, Our week here in your home has rushed past far too quickly. We have however had time to sample your beautiful and unique corner of Italy, which has kindled our apetite to return and explore further. Villa Gasparri has offered us a wonderful home from which to experience this area. Also a wonderful opportunity to catch up with our eldest daughter Michaela, who joined us for a few days from U.K. furthermore. She took the opportunity to use the 'isolated accoustic' attributes of the Villa in which to warming her voice and prepare for her pending role in Donizetti's 'Daughter of the Regiment'.
