This superb Italian holiday villa on the Amalfi coast boasts four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a marvellous view across Positano to the sea. This idyllic spot is planted with bougainvillea, jasmine, roses and cypresses.

The Villa Dei Venti (with a floor area of some 260 square metres) dates from the fourteenth century. Built in a dominant position as a watchtower, guarding the surrounding territory, it boasts a 360 degree panoramic view and such a strategic position that it has been used since ancient times as a defensive stronghold.

The villa has been carefully restored, and extended over time, and now offers one of the most delightful holiday spots on the Amalfi Coast, evoking an atmosphere of bygone times. It is furnished with antique pieces, some of them extremely precious. From the terraces and from almost all the rooms there are enchanting panoramic views over Positano and the sea. The well-tended outdoor areas comprise a garden with a fully-equipped loggia, an ideal spot for conviviality and relaxation.

The house is spread out onto four levels.  From all of the rooms the panorama of Positano and the sea is absolutely enchanting. The terraces are equipped for enjoying the views of the sea and dining al fresco. Lower Level: Dining room with fireplace, large and equipped kitchen, laundry room, small bathroom with shower. Ground Floor: Sunny living room with fireplace, small bathroom which you access from a small outdoor terrace. First Floor: Small lounge from where you access a TV room with double divan bed, 1 double bedroom, 2 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom with bath. Second Floor: Large suite with double bedroom and lounge area, 1 large bathroom with bath and double washbasin and room with WC and separate shower, furnished panoramic terrace. There are TV, heating, 2 ovens, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and telephone. The Garden has furnished loggia and terrace.

On the ground floor is the large lounge with a characteristic sail-vaulted roof and a splendid view. The dining room is decorated with antique majolica tiles and has a large fireplace. On the second floor is the master bedroom, elegantly furnished with period pieces and precious textiles, as are all the other rooms.

The villa is situated in the centre of Positano, with the main beach, boats and sea connections with Amalfi, Sorrento and Capri reachable via the characteristic old lanes and steps. The nearest beach is 700 metres away, at Fornillo. Positano centre is also 700 m away.
