In the heart of Garfagnana, Tuscany's earthly paradise, far from chaotic cities and hidden within a breathtaking scenery you'll find Locanda del Moro: a calm and sunny spot to enjoy a peaceful vacation.

This is a place loaded with atmosphere, with a swimming pool that dominates the valley, bread made in the firewood oven and home-made jams and conserves.

Locanda del Moro has two independent apartments, both accessed from the ground floor: The Lonfo and The Ormasso. Outside, next to the door, there is a barbecue where guests can cook and eat. Each apartment has a kitchen with microwave oven and dishwasher. The furnishing is typical of a Tuscan country house, with particular emphasis on stylishly renovated furniture. There are two double rooms, one with a double bed, one with with two beds which can be linked as a double; there is a bathroom and a living room with sofa bed. On request, there is a laundry service.

During your stay in Locanda del Moro, you can discover the Garfagnana with long walks starting from the Sillico or with treks along the slopes of the Apuan Alps or the Apennines. You will see little mountain hamlets, the native animals of the woodland, and you can observe the flight of the eagles and poiana ... eagles still next of the Pania of Corfino within the Orecchiella National Park. Your hosts will suggest the best routes and can, on occasion, accompany guests on planned excursions, including mountain biking, trekking, canyoning and caving. There are planned mountain bike routes (with bicycles and equipment for rent) for children and adults.


This lovely spot in northern Tuscany is 60km from Pisa Airport, 40km from Lucca and 60km from the seaside at Viareggio. Barga is 5km, Bagni di Lucca 20km, Florence 110km.
