Farmhouse Lara has been at the heart of a working farm since 1894. The farm produces top quality cereals, wine and olives, and also offers marvellous holiday accommodation in Tuscany.

Situated among rolling Tuscan hills in the beautiful countryside near San Gimignano (6km away), this is a small, character property offering guests a secluded, tranquil location in one of the most sought after areas of Tuscany. This 18th century building also lies close to Siena and Florence.

The eight Tuscan holiday apartments are set within 200 hectares of working farmland, vineyards and olive groves, with 25 hectares of vineyards in production. The farm has been carefully and beautifully restored and offers guests a splendid standard of accommodation. Next to the apartments is an outdoor pool and children’s play area. The reception and tennis court are located 800m away. The owners' produce (including the famous Chianti and Vernaccia di San Gimignano wines) can be sampled and bought at reception.

Once inhabited by the farmers, Lara has been rebuilt in sympathy with its original rustic character. All apartments provide a superb view over the neighbouring hills and over the farm’s lake. Each apartment offers a private outside space with tables and parasols. The house also has a large and beautiful communal terrace which stretches above the valley dominating the lake.
The beautiful swimming pool (14x7 metres) lies within the large garden next to the house, and the tennis court can be found about 800m away. You can also fish in the lake and there are marvellous walking trails.

Each apartment is equipped with satellite TV, its own fully fitted cooking area and towels and sheets provided free of charge. Renting in Italy has selected five of the apartments for you to choose from.

Apartment 2 covers 45sqm of the ground floor and sleeps up to four (2+2) . There is a living room/kitchen with double sofa bed, satellite TV, table, chairs, and a kitchen area with fridge and gas hobs. The bedroom has a double bed; the bathroom has a shower and WC.

Apartment 3 covers 40sqm of the ground floor and sleeps up to four (2+2). There is a living room/kitchen with double sofa bed, satellite TV, table, chairs, and a kitchen area with fridge and gas hobs. The bedroom has a double bed; the bathroom a shower and WC.

Apartment 4 covers 70sqm of the ground floor and sleeps up to four (2+2). There is a generous living room/kitchen with double sofa bed, satellite TV, table, chairs, and a kitchen area with fridge and gas hobs. The bedroom has a double bed; the bathroom a shower and WC.

Apartment 7 covers 55sqm of the first floor and sleeps up to four (2+2). There is a generous living room/kitchen with double sofa bed, satellite TV, table, chairs, and a kitchen area with fridge and gas hobs. The bedroom has a double bed; the bathroom a shower and WC.

Apartment 8 covers 100sqm of the first floor and sleeps up to eight (6+2). There is a living room/kitchen with double sofa bed, satellite TV, table, chairs, and a kitchen area with fridge and gas hobs. There are three bedrooms, two with a double bed, one with twin beds; There are two bathrooms (one en suite) with shower and WC.

Apartments 7 and 8 share the same entrance and can be rented as a single dwelling.
