FLORENCE BED AND BREAKFAST, 10 KILOMETRES FROM CENTRAL FLORENCE

The Casina B & B is located on one of the most beautiful hills surrounding Florence, immersed in an area of green countryside, 560 metres above sea level, and boasting 360° panoramic views of Florence and Fiesole.

In the summertime, when the city air becomes hard to breathe, here it is always delightfully cool, yet we are located just 10 km from Florence, a 15 minute car ride away from Piazza Della Libertà  in the historical centre of Florence. For those who prefer to avoid the city traffic, at the nearby Montorsoli station it's possible to catch a train direct into downtown Florence, or, as an alternative, there is a bus stop 1.5 kilometres away - this is an ideal starting point to visit Florence and discover Tuscany.

The house is of recent construction, albeit in a pure Tuscan style: timber beam ceilings, brick tile floors, and sandstone details making the property warm and welcoming. The garden of roughly 3000 square metres, with deck-chairs, is at the disposal of guests. The area reserved for the guests, in the attic, has an independent entrance with three bedrooms, a breakfast room and a beautiful panoramic terrace.

THE BEDROOMS: (All with private TV) : -White Room : one double bed, one single bed and independent bathroom; Green Room and Blue Room : these two rooms, the first one with a queen size bed and the second one with two single beds, have a suite with bath and antechamber.

Breakfast is either Italian or continental, sweet or salted food, with fresh and genuine products including homemade jams. During the warm season breakfast will be served outdoors.

SPORTING ACTIVITIES:  The surrounding forest area and hills are ideal for excursions on foot. The following sports may also be practiced:

- Horseback riding: the stable is very close to the house.
- Mountain Bike: placed at your disposal by your host.
- Trekking: on the numerous paths marked by the CAI (Italian Alpine Club)
- Sailing, windsurfing and canoeing: on the Bilancino Lake.
- Go carting: on the Mugello track
- Parachuting and Hang-gliding, in Galliano
- Tennis: at the Pian di Mugnone club, surrounded by olive trees
- Swimming : in various pools throughout the area.
- Golf: at the Poggio de' Medici Club, in Scarperia
