The Residence "Bosco della Spina", inaugurated in December 1999, is a renovation of an ancient mediaeval farm: the vinaia, the granaries, the stables, all located in the ancient Tuscan town of Lupompesi, located roughly halfway between Siena and Montalcino. Accommodation of all sorts is available - you may stop over for a night or two, rent an apartment for a week or more, even arrange a meeting, wedding or reunion here.

The origins of the 'borgo' are lost somewhere between Roman, Barbarian and Etruscan times, but the settlement is full of history and the restoration reflects this.
The estate includes 14 suites of various sizes, the reception, a bar, a small shop where genuine farm produce is sold, a restaurant with open fireplace and a large terrace, private outdoor parking, swimming pool, and a small fitness centre.

The Restaurant offers a particularly refined Tuscan kitchen with ancient mediaeval Tuscan recipes; products of our farm and a wide selection of Chianti wines. In the exposition room of the Residence you can buy the goods of the farm estate, such as honey marmalades, typical pastries of Siena, virgin olive oil, and so on.

There are various types of rental apartments as follows (it is also possible to stay on a daily rather than weekly basis - the establishment is run pretty much as a hotel):

"Comfort" : a master bedroom, living room with sofa-beds, bar-kitchen, refrigerator, radiant panels for cooling and heating, direct telephone line, bathroom with shower, TV with satellite antenna. Min. 2 persons Max. 4 persons, 9 apartments total.

1 Suite "Plus" : As above, but with two floors and two bathrooms - one apartment.

1 Suite "De Luxe" : As the Suite Plus, but with terrace and garden - one apartment.

2 Suites "Superior" : On the first floor a master bedroom and a bathroom, on the second floor a big living room with sofa beds, (the separation of the various rooms is achieved using electric curtains, once they are closed access to the rooms is only through wooden doors), a bathroom with shower, bar-kitchen, garden and terrace. All others services as per the suites "Comfort". Min. 4 persons Max 6 persons.

Suite "Tower" : Two master bedrooms, living room with sofa-beds, garden terrace. All others services as per the suites "Comfort".

The tower is a three floor apartment (one on top the other, just like a tower ) - all have a view of the valley and of the Tuscan hills. Composing: on the first floor two bedrooms with their own bathroom with shower, on the ground floor a living room with two sofa beds with orthopedic bed base and mattress in solid latex, another bathroom with shower. Cooking 'corner' for a quick meal - equipped with utensils, refrigerator and pans. Radiant ground heating panels and cooling for the summer. A wide cosy terrace with a view to relax and sunbathe in.
