Villa Barbarella is situated in an ideal spot for touring most of Tuscany. The villa is set in a lovely garden, and commands splendid views from its hilltop position above the Tuscan town of Quarrata, 3 minutes away by car.

Villa Barbarella is quite delightful, and no expense has been spared in both restoration and furnishing; it is a typical stone house of approx 220m², immersed in the green hills of Montalbano, forming part of the official Chianti DOC area. The position of the property offers views over the valley which unites Florence, Prato and Pistoia.

Restoration has kept all traditional architectural features intact, finishing has been carried out to a luxurious standard, and great care has been given to the choice of furnishing fabrics to create an elegant, comfortable and refined environment.

The large garden (120m²) is furnished for al fresco dining, and you'll enjoy lovely panoramic views across olive groves and classic Tuscan hillsides. An irregular-shaped pool (approximately 6 x 3.5 mt) is set in the garden at the front of the house - the position is secluded and also enjoys fine views. Villa Barbarella is on two floors - entry is into a spacious hall leading to a very large living room with adjoining study and spacious dining room. The study and living room each have beautiful stone fireplaces and are comfortably furnished with sofas and armchairs. On the opposite side of the entry is another casual living room with open country fireplace.

This room adjoins the very smart kitchen which has a door to the garden. Kitchen appliances include dishwasher, washing machine, oven, 5-burner gas cooker, large fridge-freezer. A guest toilet completes this floor.

The upper floor is reached via a splendid staircase in pietra serena. The charming master bedroom enjoys a walk-in wardrobe/dressing room and ensuite bathroom in marble with shower and tub - a small balcony off the bathroom offers panoramic views. Down the corridor is a queensize bedroom and walk-in wardrobe, a bathroom with shower, and a twin bedroom which shares the bathroom. On the attic floor (reached via a staircase in terracotta tiles) you'll find a large bathroom with tub and another bedroom/study with two single beds.
