An ancient 17th century farmhouse with a modern Italian designer make over - this villa is replete with luxury and modern convenience.

Restructured from an old typical Tuscan farmhouse dating from 1700, Villa Albereta was recently restored by a famous Florentine architect giving it a thoroughly modern, Italian designer feel. It sleeps ten over five bedrooms, with five and a half bathrooms and a swimming pool.

The villa is equipped with all modern comforts, according to the latest Italian designer style. It has several beautiful outdoor dining areas, covered terraces and a large verandah. It is perched on the top of a hill in the centre of the Mugello Valley and from it, in particular from the swimming pool, you have breathtaking panoramic views all over the valley. The sunsets are particularly spectacular, and the house is well suited to evening cocktails and leisurely al fresco dinners as the sky turns from blue, through pink and orange to a deep star-encrusted midnight blue.

The owners have tried to think of everything to make your holiday perfect and can arrange daily cleaning and cooking or tourist guides on request. The owner lives in the property in the main villa and she doesn't have access to the pool or your part of the garden. The caretakers live in the property too but you won't see them other than when they do gardening and cleaning of the pool. Everyone at the property will do their best to ensure you have a wonderful holiday.


The house is 300 square metres in total and is laid out as follows: big lounge with fireplace; kitchen with all comforts; cloakroom; five bathrooms; four double bedrooms (en suite); one room with two single beds; one room with high-quality sofa bed for two; air conditioning in all rooms; satellite TV.

The garden is completely enclosed and planted with native flora, rosemary, bay laurel, lavender and cypress. There is parking for up to three cars and a delightful barrel shaped swimming pool that commands the most spectacular panoramic views and is well furnished with sun loungers. It also has a dedicated bathroom and changing room.

The villa is near to Florence (35km) as well as with easy reach of most important Tuscan places of interest. The nearest airport is Florence airport, about half an hour away. Pisa is about an hour and Rome's airports are from two and a half to three hours' drive. Albereta is 4km from the train station at Vicchio from where trains can take you to the city centre of Florence in only 30 minutes; the golf course is 10km and Lake Bilancino, with surfing and sailing facilities, is 14km away. There is horse riding 5km away. The villa is also near to modern shopping centres and the hospital - only a few minutes' drive away.
